Colour Confidence: Style Inspiration for Every Age

Confidence and joy never fade - and neither should your love of colour. Yet, since starting Lesa in Colour, I've had many women tell me that, somewhere along they way, they felt they had to "tone things down" as they got older. Neutrals took over their wardrobes. The vibrant reds, cobalt blues, fresh greens and sunny yellows they once loved were left behind.

I want to show you that you can embrace colour at every stage of life. In fact, colour can become even more flattering and confidence-boosting as the years go by - the key is finding the shades that work for you.

Why Do So Many Women Step Away from Colour?

Sometimes it's because they've been told that bright colours are "too much" past a certain age. Other times, they simply can't find the shades that make them feel radiant - so they default to black, beige or grey.

But the truth is, colour can make your skin look fresher, your eyes brighter and your whole outfit feel more modern. It's about choosing your best palette - colours that harmonise with your natural undertones so they work with you, not against you.

Because here's the thing: confidence and joy never fade.

Women shouldn't feel they have to fade into the background at any age.

Colour isn't just about fashion - it's about energy, personality and self-expression. The colours you wear can lift your mood, light up your complexion and tell the world something about who you are.

Inspiration at Your Fingertips

I've created a brand-new Pinterest board called Colour Confidence. It is full of inspiring images of women who embrace colours at every stage of life. Some are making a bold statement in head-to-toe technicolour, while others have added just a joyful pop of colour through a scarf, necklace or shoes.

My hope is that this board shows that colour is for everyone, whether you want to dip your toes in with a bright accessory or dive in with a full spectrum of shades.

You can explore the board here:

When your clothes reflect your personality and natural colouring, it shows in your posture, your smile and the way you carry yourself. That's why I believe we should embrace colour at every stage of life.
